"Architectural settings and elements provide the structure and context for most of my work. Within this context I interweave, juxtapose and counterpoint various icons, objects, figures, and creatures to arrive at a compositional whole. The images and symbols in my work are derived from my experiences of various cultures, east and west. They reflect past and present, the mythical and the real, the profound and the mundane. My intent is to produce hybrid multicultural images sometimes with and sometimes without a recognizable theme or notion but always with a sense of wonder and an element of amusement".
